ONEONTA, NY – Women's swimming senior Stephanie Ha (Everett, WA) and men's basketball sophomore forward Jared Suderley (Newport, NY) headlined the Hartwick College Student-Athlete Awards Ceremony Wednesday evening held in the Binder Physical Education Center's Lambros Arena. Ha received the Anna Meyer Female Athlete of the Year Award, while Suderley was crowned as the winner of the Roy Chipman Memorial Award for Male Athlete of the Year.

ROCHESTER, NY – On Thursday, the Empire 8 announced its 2012 Women's Lacrosse All-Conference teams. Hartwick senior midfielder Brittany LaVaute (Skaneateles, NY/Skaneateles HS) and junior defender Erica Scicchitano (Centerport, NY/Harborfields HS) each were selected to the Empire 8 Second Team. Senior Hannah Kennedy (Avon, CT/Avon HS) was selected to the conference's Sportswoman of the Year team for the fourth time in her career.

Hartwick junior attack Harry Hughes (Holtsville, NY/Sachem East) and senior midfielder Mike Morrison (Holbrook, NY/Sachem East) were both named to the second team. Junior defender Max Cooper (Manlius, NY/Fayetteville-Manlius) received an honorable mention and sophomore Cody Ciolino (Nesconset, NY/Sachem North) was named the Hartwick representative on the 2012 Empire 8 Men's Lacrosse Sportsman of the Year team.

Women's Swimming and Diving
Ha was recently named the Hartwick College Anna Meyer Female Athlete of the Year at the Student-Athlete Awards Banquet. She racked up a team-high 645 points this season. She finished first in 34 of 41 individual races and she combined for 14 wins in 18 relays. Ha closes her career at Hartwick with over 2,300 points, 101 individual wins, and 49 relay victories and holds College records in the 100 fly, 200 IM, 200 medley relay, 400 free relay, and 800 free relay.

Men's Basketball
Suderley received the Roy Chipman Memorial Award for Male Athlete of the Year at the year-end Student-Athlete Awards Banquet. Suderley received All-America honors from both the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) and D3hoops.com after leading the Hawks in scoring, rebounds, and free-throw percentage. He was named the Empire 8 Conference Player of the Year and First Team all-star as well as an ECAC Upstate First Team pick. Suderley led Hartwick to the Empire 8 regular season title, its second straight NCAA Tournament appearance and he became the first sophomore in the 83-year history of the program to break the 1,000-point mark.
