Brian Gordon

Brian Gordon begins his third season at the helm of Hartwick's women's soccer program in 2016.

This past fall, he led Hartwick to a 10-5-2 mark which was the program's first 10-win season since 1995. 'Wick also started the season 6-0 for the first time since 1988. Gordon coached a pair of players - sophomore Casey Boucher and freshman Madison Miller - to Empire 8 Conference Second Team honors.

Gordon was named head coach of Hartwick women’s soccer program in the summer of 2014 after serving as assistant with the program for two seasons. In his first season piloting the program, he led the Hawks to a 7-9-1 overall mark and a 3-4-1 record in the Empire 8 Conference. 
           
Gordon helped Hartwick women’s soccer to consecutive postseason appearances in in 2012 and 2013 after a nine-year drought. He is just the eighth head coach in the program’s 35-year history.      
           
In his first season with the Hartwick Women’s Soccer Team in 2012, Gordon helped the Hawks to an 8-8-2 record and a spot in the ECAC Tournament. The Hawks followed it up last year with an 8-8-3 mark and a repeat berth in the ECAC’s. The two seasons marked the first back-to-back .500 or better seasons since the 1995 and 1996 campaigns.
 
Gordon is a former member of the Hartwick Men’s Soccer Team. The Erskine, Scotland native played for ’Wick from 2008-2009. He was named to the 2009 Mayor’s Cup All-Tournament Team.
           
From 2006-2008, Gordon was a member of the University of Albany’s Men’s Soccer Team. In 2006 he was named to the America East All-Tournament Team and Rookie Team. In 2007, he was named to the VCU Nike Classic and Colgate Adidas Classic All-Tournament Teams.
           
Back in Scotland, he played with St. Mirren Football Club from 2002-2005. He also played for East Stirlingshire Football Club from 2005-06 and Renfrew FC from 2010-2012.
           
Prior to returning to Oyaron Hill, Gordon was the head coach of the Massachusetts Premier Soccer Knights U17 Premier and U10 Elite head coach. He was also an intern assistant at Hartwick in 2010.
           
Gordon graduated Cum Laude from Hartwick in May 2010 with a bachelor’s degree in History. In the summer of 2014, he earned his NSCAA National Diploma.
           
“I’m excited to add to the growth of our improving program and will look for us to compete and hopefully achieve a playoff spot in the Empire 8 this coming fall,” added Gordon. “I look forward to testing ourselves against some very good teams in our non-conference schedule and I believe that it will set us up well for conference play.”
