2017: Ran in all seven of the Hawks’ races in the fall … was the Hawks’ top finisher in five of seven races … season-best 6K time of 26:31.8 at the NCAA Division III Atlantic Regional at Houghton College … also topped 29-minute mark at the Cross Country Only Conference Championship in Geneva (28:48.3) … ran a 20:36.3 at the 5K Saratoga Invitational.

2016: Named Team MVP ... competed in all nine meets for the Hawks … Hartwick’s top finisher in seven of nine races … top 6K time of 24:28.0 came in the NCAA Atlantic Regional on November 12 where she trimmed two minutes off her previous best … ran RPI Invitational 5K in 20:29.3.

Prior to Hartwick: Attended Wachusett Regional High School … lettered in cross country and track and field for the Mountaineers … team won state title in indoor track and field in 2015 … National Honor Society member (2014-2016) … National Spanish Honor Society member (2014-2016).

Personal: Daughter of Susan and Richard Matys … Nursing major at Hartwick … hobbies include playing the piano … favorite sports team is the Boston Celtics.
