Erin E. Ross earned numerous awards as a four-year member of the field hockey team from 1994-97. She received first-team All-American honors as a senior and earned third-team accolades as a junior. Ross was a regional All-American three times and was an all-state selection after her junior and senior seasons.
In 1996, Ross scored 50 points (18 goals, 14 assists) to help Hartwick reach the championship game of the NCAA Division III Tournament. The Hawks went 20-2 that season and won the New York State Women's Collegiate Athletic Association Championship before finishing second in the national tournament.
Ross, a midfielder, led Hartwick to a combined 62-18 record in her career. Among the school's all-time statistical leaders, she graduated ranked second in career assists (42), second in career scoring (142 points), third in points in a season (50 in 1996), fourth in career goals (50) and fourth in assists in a season (14 in 1996).
The Hawks reached postseason play in all four of her seasons. Hartwick competed in the NCAA Division III Tournament in her freshman and junior seasons, and reached the New York State Women's Collegiate Athletic Association Tournament four times. Ross helped the 1995 squad (16-5) win the Eastern College Athletic Association Championship and was named MVP of the tournament.
