Cronnell Keegan was a four-year member of the women's swimming and diving team from 1988-1991. She is the only four-time All-American in the history of the program.
Hartwick had suffered eight straight losing seasons before Cronnell joined the team in 1987-1988. The team went 9-5 that season and Cronnell led the squad to a 44-12 record in four years.
In 1988, Cronell earned All-American honors as a member of the 200- and 400-medley relay teams. At the NYSWCAA Championships, she won the state title in the 50 freestyle in 25.37 seconds.
As a sophomore, Cronnell was a member of the three relay teams that picked up All-American honors at the national meet. She swam a 53.82 split in the 400-medley relay for Hartwick, which finished fourth overall in the event and set a new school record with a 4:04.33 clocking. She was also a member of the 200 medley and the 200 freestyle relay teams.
Cronnell swam on the 400-medley relay team that won a state title in 1990. At the national meet, she was a member of the 200-medley relay team that finished in eighth place with a time of 1:52.93. In 1991, Cronnell received All-American honors for her performance on the 200 medley, 400 medley and the 800 freestyle relay teams.
