Kate Stoehr was a standout two-sport athlete at Hartwick from 1994-1998. She was a four-year starter on the women’s lacrosse and soccer teams, and statistically ranks as one of the greatest lacrosse players in NCAA Division III history. At the time of her induction, Stoehr ranked second all-time among Division III players in scoring with 325 points.

Stoehr was a four-time All-American and a four-time New York State Women’s Collegiate Athletic Association first-team selection in lacrosse. She was a first-team All-American in 1997 and 1998, a second-team selection in 1996, and a third-team pick in 1995. Her teams posted a combined record of 59 wins and 16 losses, and Hartwick reached postseason play in all four years. 

In 1998, Stoehr led the lacrosse team to the NCAA Semifinals and a fourth-place finish overall. She received the 1998 NCAA Division III Midfielder-of the-Year-Award, and led all players in the NCAA Tournament with 18 points.

Stoehr ranked as the school-record holder for career points, career goals (262), points in a season (118 in 1998) and goals in a season (90 in 1998) at the time of her induction. In addition, she ranked fifth all-time with 63 assists.

As a senior, Stoehr was an all-state first-team selection in soccer. She tallied 13 goals and three assists for 29 points all-time, and showed her athleticism by playing as a defender, midfielder and forward.
