Ken Ford is the first male swimmer to be inducted into the Hartwick College Athletic Hall of Fame.
He finished with eight All-American honors over three seasons, including four during his senior year. He held school records at the time of his induction in the 100 backstroke and 200 backstroke, and held or was part of eight school records at the time of his graduation.
Ford, who was a six-time state champion, helped Hartwick to a 41-5 record in his four seasons. The 1991-92 squad went a perfect 12-0.
He was on the 1992 Eastern Water Polo Association All-Conference Team and was the Most Valuable Player of the sport club division at the 1992 Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference Tournament.
Ford was the M. Beal Banks Award winner in 1994, was the Outstanding Male Freshman Athlete in 1991 and won the Douglas McDevitt Award for the 1993-94 season. He served as an assistant swim coach at Hartwick during the 1994-95 season.
