Scudder's four years of swimming prowess helped establish the Hartwick program among the top programs in the NCAA small college division. Scudder earned All-American honors in three of her four seasons, in the butterfly, breaststroke, and individual medley events.
She captained the swim team in each of her final three seasons.
Scudder played four seasons of field hockey for the Hawks, playing on three NYSAIAW Playoff teams.
She also ran track and field as a freshman and played lacrosse her junior and senior seasons.
In 1979 she earned the M. Beal Banks spirit award and in 1980 won the Margaret Lunn Award.
