Susan Torell won the NCAA Division III Championship in the 100 and 200-yard breaststroke in 1990, becoming the College's first individual National Champion.
At the time of induction, Torell remains the school's only two-time National Champion.
She earned All-American honors in 1989, 1990, and 1991.
Torell helped reverse the fortunes of the Hartwick swim program, as the Hawks posted a 35-5 record during her tenure and have posted 11 consecutive winning seasons at the time of her induction.
She set school records in the 50, 100 and 200-yard breaststroke, the 200 and 400 individual medley, and was a member of the school's 200 and 400-yard medley relay record-holding teams.
At the time of induction, she still held school-record times in the 50, 100 and 200-yard breaststroke and was a member of the record-holding 400-yard medley relay team.
