Tiffany Hurley Carr ’02, originally from Oneonta, NY, is one of just two players in Hartwick women’s and men’s basketball history to score over 1,000 points and grab 1,000 rebounds for her career.

Carr still ranks in the program’s all-time top 10 in four categories, including rebounds (1,011 - 2nd), points (1,320 – 7th), steals (149 – 10th), and blocks (76 – 10th). In addition, she still holds the program record for free throws made in a game, sinking all 16 of her attempts against Nazareth in 2001.

Over the course of her four seasons, Carr helped Hartwick to 63 victories and three New York State Women’s Collegiate Athletic Association Tournament appearances. She also aided the Hawks in a co-Empire Athletic Association title in 1999 and a spot in the NCAA Division III Tournament while ranking in the national top 10 in four separate individual statistical categories.

Carr was a two-time Empire 8 Conference Player of the Year, a three-time Empire 8 First Team All-Star, and a 14-time conference Player of the Week. Following her senior season in 2002, she was tabbed a DIII News All-American, a WBCA/Kodak Honorable Mention All-American, and selected to both the ECAC Upstate and NYSWCAA First Team.
