Suderley was tabbed the Roy Chipman Male Athlete of the Year on Thursday, May 15 at the Athletic Awards Banquet. Suderley led the Hawks in scoring for the fourth straight season with a career-best 20.4 points per game and was the team’s top rebounder (10.7 rpg) as he helped the Hawks to the league title and their third NCAA Tournament appearance in three seasons. He was a D3hoops.com All-American, an NABC All-American, the Empire 8 Player of the Year, Empire 8 Tournament Most Valuable Player, and a finalist for the Jostens Trophy. He eclipsed the 2,000-point mark for his career and broke the College’s 26 year-old scoring record and 33 year-old rebounding record this season.
