WRIGHT STADIUM LIGHT PROJECT

Launched in December of 2024, the Talon Trust is Hartwick College's athletic fundraising arm which provides additional resources to the athletic department to assist us in creating
exceptional student-athlete experiences. 
 
“Talon Trust provides necessary funds that help to directly impact the student athlete experience.  For soccer, both teams have benefited with a new turf strip between the grass training fields.  All soccer alums remember the grass training fields.  Speed and agility training now becomes part of the fall routine on the turf, while also being able to maintain our grass facilities.  As an athletic department, Binder has received upgraded signage to clearly state who we are.  Our new fleet of Hartwick vans have athletics decals and logos, which adds to school pride and directly shows our student-athletes that Talon Trust cares about who we are both on and off campus.” - John Scott, Head Men’s Soccer Coach

As a part of the inaugural year of the Talon Trust, we established the S.O.A.R. Society . Members of the S.O.A.R. Society allowed us to build a solid financial foundation within the Talon Trust.  These members inspired others with their generosity, helping us raise over 1M dollars in the first year and a half.  The members of the S.O.A.R. Society are recognized on a plaque displayed in the Betty Powell ‘82 Foyer outside of Lambros Arena.  They are also listed below.

SOAR Level - Gifts of $500-999 / year
- All Silver, Blue and Hawk level benefits
- Free admission for two to all ticketed Hartwick athletic events (football, Empire 8 playoff games, etc.)
- Free Admission to the Athletics Benefit Auction

True Blue Level - Gifts of $1,000 and above / year
- All Silver, Blue, Hawk and SOAR level benefits
- Free Admission to the Athletics Hall of Fame Ceremony
- Special recognition on the Talon Trust website
