Buckner made three stops to earn the clean sheet in a 1-0 shutout of NJIT for the Hartwick men’s soccer team on Saturday. The win was Hartwick’s first-ever Sun Belt victory. Buckner made a key save in the second half as a glancing header from Highlander Joshua Mercer off a cross forced a diving, point-blank stop. Buckner also earned an assist on the game’s lone goal following a long punt into the NJIT end.
