Zakirova scored four goals this weekend for the water polo team at the CWPA Western Division Championships in Bloomington, IN. She tallied once in the quarterfinals in a 19-4 win over Gannon and added another goal in an 8-7 upset of top-seed Maryland in the semifinals. Zakirova scored one goal in the first quarter and one in the fourth of the Hawks' 7-6 loss in the title game to #13 Michigan. She also contributed eight steals, five field blocks, three assists, and three kick-outs drawn.
