Rood, a junior forward registered a goal and an assist in a 3-0 Hartwick win over Georgia Southern on Friday night in the Hawks’ Sun Belt Conference opener. Rood opened the scoring as he converted a penalty kick in the 21^st minute to give ’Wick the lead for good. He later earned an assist in the 69^th minute on the Hawks’ third and final goal. This season, Rood ranks second on the team in scoring with seven points on two goals and a team-best three assists.
