Samuels, a defensive back, led the Hawks in tackles and came up with key plays for ’Wick in a 41-30 victory over Buffalo State. He had eight solo tackles and three assisted hits for a total of 11 while breaking up one pass. Samuels blocked an extra point which would have tied the game at 17-17, and then in a one-possession game, took an onside kick 45 yards to the one yard-line which led to a game-clinching field goal.
