He placed second in the 50 freestyle to teammate Joey Mulvehill on Saturday and Sunday in a 22.55 and a 22.59 respectively, and dominated in the 200 backstroke on both days, taking first in a 1:55.65 and a 1:56.19, respectively. Plunkett won the 100 backstroke in a 54.11 Saturday and anchored the winning 400 free relay in with a 49.03.
