Carter stopped a career-high 18 shots in a critical 3-2 overtime victory for Hartwick field hockey against Ithaca on Saturday at Wright Stadium. In the second half, Carter faced 19 shots and 15 penalty corners but registered nine saves to get the game to overtime. In the extra session, she made eight more stops before the Hawks scored the game-winner after 12:16. The result puts the Hawks on the cusp of clinching their first E8 playoff berth since 2009.
