Reed was crowned the winner of the Roy Chipman Memorial Award for Male Athlete of the Year on May 11. He was named to both the AFCA and Associated Press Little All-America First Team, and was the NCAA Division III Statistical Champion in reception yards per game with an average of 160.6 yards, which was over 28 yards more than the second place finisher. His average was the highest receiving yards per game average in FBS, FCS, Division II and Division III football, and he broke NCAA Division III records for highest average gain per reception.
