Townes averaged 16.5 points and made the All-Tournament Team at the Franklin & Marshall Sponaugle New Year’s Tournament on Friday and Saturday. In two games, he shot 10-of-20 from the floor, 5-of-12 from three-point range, made all eight of his free throw attempts, and added seven rebounds, six steals, and five assists. Townes led all players with 18 points in a 75-72 loss to Delaware valley on Friday. He had five rebounds, three assists, three steals, and a pair of three-pointers in the game. On Saturday, in an 80-75 setback to Randolph College, he added 15 points with three three-pointers, three steals, two assists, and two boards.
