Kirby averaged team-highs of 19.5 points and 7.5 rebounds as the women’s basketball team went 2-0 at the St. Pete Classic in St. Petersburg, FL this week. She shot 61% (11-of-18) from the floor, 71% (5-of-7) from three-point range, and 71% (12-of-17) from the free-throw line in the two contests. Kirby erupted for career- and game-highs of 29 points and nine rebounds in an 83-69 victory over John Carroll University on Wednesday. She made 73% (8-of-11) from the field, hit all four of her three-point attempts, and connected on 9-of-13 free-throw attempts to help the Hawks to the victory. Kirby added a 10-point, six-rebound showing the following day in a 74-52 win against Olivet College.
