Corbett was named the Empire 8 Tournament MVP over the weekend as the Hartwick women’s basketball team won its first Empire 8 Championship in program history. Over the tournament’s two games, she averaged 16.5 points, five rebounds, three assists, and 2.5 steals. In Friday’s 72-52 semifinal win over Stevens, she had 13 points on 6-of-10 shooting, five rebounds, a game- and season-high five steals, an assist, and a block. In Saturday’s 69-62 championship win over St. John Fisher, Corbett led all players with 20 points on 9-of-15 from the field while also contributing five rebounds and five assists. She was a key part of the Hawks’ 8-0 run to end the first half, scoring six points and helping to take the ’Wick lead from one to nine entering the break. Earlier in the week on Monday, Corbett also led all players with 23 points as the Hawks clinched the E8 regular season title with a 67-58 win over Sage.
