Hartwick College Athletics

Capparelli had a record-breaking weekend for the Hartwick water polo team as she scored nine goals in three games and broke the Hartwick record for goals in a season. She achieved the mark on Saturday in the Hawks’ 18-2 victory over Gannon with her second goal of the game at 5:21 of the second quarter. The goal gave her 128 for the season which broke the previous record of 127 set by Bronwen Knox in 2006. She finished the game with three goals, added two in a win over Notre Dame, and scored four times as Hartwick lost in the final seconds to #15 Indiana, 12-11, in the CWPA Western finals.
