HAMILTON, NY – Hartwick (7-3) scored a goal in each half and dominated Morrisville to earn a 2-0 shutout win on Wednesday night in a match played at Colgate University. The Hawks outshot the Mustangs 21-6 in the match and won for the fourth time in a row for the first time since 2004.
Freshman Kelsey Kimble (Dingmans Ferry, PA/Delaware Valley) opened the scoring just over three minutes into the game as she finished off a pass from Amanda Barton (Endwell, NY/Greene). The 'Wick defense shut down Morrisville the rest of the way to secure the win. Goalkeeper Mackenzie Chapman (Niskayuna, NY/Niskayuna) needed to make just one save in the match to record her third shutout of the 2009 campaign.
