Box Score ROCHESTER, NY- Shelby Hall scored three goals to lead the #18 ranked University of Rochester Yellowjackets field hockey team to a 5-0 win over Hartwick at a rainy Edwin Fauver Stadium on Tuesday afternoon. Rochester remains undefeated at 8-0 while the loss snaps a three-game winning streak for Hartwick as the Hawks fall to 3-3.
Katie Flaschner and Samantha Crandall both had goals for Rochester. Flaschner had one assist for Rochester and freshman Michelle Relin had three assists.
Megan Campbell (Rutland, MA/Wachusett Regional) made four saves for Hartwick. Madison Wagner had seven saves to earn her third solo shutout this season.
Hall scored 3:07 into the match after Relin ran along the left end line and crossed it in front. At 14:12, Flaschner's shot hit the left post and Hall tucked in the rebound.
Flaschner and Hall scored early in the second half to stretch the lead. Flaschner scored off a baseline pass while
Holley Reynolds (Walton, NY/Walton) stopped a shot by Relin but Hall chipped in the rebound.
Crandall scored after collecting a pass from freshman Mary Bucklin. She ran straight at goal from the right wing to line a low shot under Campbell for the day's final tally.
Rochester held a 12-8 shot advantage. Hartwick had 12 penalty corners – all in the second half – to nine for Rochester.
The Hawks return to Empire 8 play when they visit Elmira on Saturday. Game time will be at 1 p.m.
