ONEONTA, NY - Hartwick College (2-2, 1-2) returned to action today against the Saxons of Alfred University (2-2, 2-1). The match was started and completed indoors at the Oneonta Tennis Club, where Alfred was able to come away with a 6-1 victory over the Hawks.

The one victory for the Hawks today came at the third doubles flight whereÂ
Michaela Finnegan (Cumberland, ME/Greely) and
Steph Luce (Saratoga Springs, NY/Saratoga Springs) combined for an 8-1 victory. This commanding performance was the first win for the duo this season.

Alfred was able to sweep singles competition on the afternoon.
Nicole Schepisi (East Greenbush, NY/Columbia) came up one point short at the top singles spot. Schepisi dropped the match in a third set tiebreaker 13-11.

Kristen Napolitano (Mt. Sinai, NY/Mt. Sinai) also fell in three sets to Emily Eisenberg at fourth singles. Final scores were 6-4, 2-6, 10-4.
