Lauren Rosenberg's (Smithtown, NY/Commack) free-position goal deadlocked play, 4-up.
One tick showed on the game clock before Wagner was awarded a free-position shot. She would cash in on the opportunity as the visitor eked out the slim 5-4 advantage at the break.
The climate changed in the second half as everything seemed to go New Paltz's way. Winning three draw controls coupled with six 'Wick turnovers New Paltz erupted for four straight goals in what became a 9-4 tilt less than eight minutes into the final half.

In the last five minutes down one, New Paltz could only get off one shot attempt in the final window which was left wide by Nicole Gottschalk.
