CORTLAND, NY – The Hartwick women's swimming and diving team was in action today at SUNY Cortland. The Hawks dropped a 181-108 decision to SUNY Cortland, which puts the Hawks' dual meet record to 5-5 on the season.
           
Hartwick pick up a pair of wins on the day. Tori Argentieri (East Amherst/Clarence) finished first in the 200 IM (2:22.20). Maddy Hayes (Eagan, MN/Eagan) placed first in the 50 free (26.54). Hayes also finished second in the 200 free (2:06.25).
           
Abby Schwartz (Olean, NY/Olean) finished second in a pair of events. She was runner-up in the 1000 free (11:48.03) and the 500 free (5:49.33). Emma Reining (Hyde Park, NY/Franklin D. Roosevelt) earned a second-place finish in the 200 butterfly (2:17.71).
           
Samantha Sterck (Weston, CT/Weston) finished second in the 1-meter dive earning a score of 159.15.
           
The Hawks will next be in action next on Saturday January 20 at home against Empire 8 foe Alfred University at 1 p.m. in Moyer Pool.
