Recap: Hartwick men's soccer conceded in the opening minute of action and host Marymount University would tack on another four first-half goals to pull away on Saturday evening in an 8-2 contest at Long Bridge Park in Arlington. The Saints would score on five of their 12 shots in the half to take command. In the second half just 10 seconds after a Marymount tally, Troy Amegashie (Accra, Ghana/Tema International School) would find the net for the Hawks in the 55th minute. In the 88th, Amegashie would be at it again as he sent in his third goal of the season to close out the scoring. The Hawks would be out-shot by a narrow 7-6 margin in the second half. They also earned all four of the half's corners. Jimmy Noel (Cap Haitian, Haiti/Baldwin), Diego Espinola (Mexico City, Mexico/Vincent Memorial Catholic), and Mikheil Legarde (Manila, Philippines/Hong Kong International School) also had shots for the Hawks. Jack Riordan (East Stroudsburg, PA/East Stroudsburg) played nearly all 90 minutes in goal. He made four saves.

John Scott Quotes: "This was a game we were really looking forward to, but we now need to quickly move on from it. The first half was littered with individual errors and at half time the team was literally shell-shocked being 5-0 down. At 2-0 down, there was a glimmer of hope as we did find the back of the net, but the offside flag said otherwise. In the 2nd half, we gave it our best shot with the attitude being to wipe the slate clean and start again. For the second 45 minutes, we lost 3-2 with Troy scoring twice. His second goal was special for any level. Troy has scored all three goals for us this season. Next up, we have RPI on Tuesday night."

Up Next: The Hawks next play at RPI on Tuesday, October 17 beginning at 7:30 p.m.
