Recap: Hartwick scored early and often as it opened up a 6-0 lead 18 and a half minutes left into the first half in a 10-1 victory over Wells on Wednesday at Wright Stadium. Eight different players registered goals with
Brooke Singer (Johnson City, NY/Maine-Endwell) and
Bella Wheeler (Cazenovia, NY/Cazenovia) leading the way with a pair of tallies apiece.
Lavaisha Sparrow (Dover Plains, NY/Dover Plains) contributed a goal and a game-high three assists.
Allyson Quirk (Longmeadow, MA/Longmeadow),
Jenna Sobol (Amherst, NY/Amherst Central), Singer, Wheeler,
Tegan Robinson (Mechanicville, NY/Mechanicville), and Sparrow would tally for the Hawks in the first half. After Wells got one back with a goal from Chloe Marcus, Singer, Wheeler,
Perry Willett (Huntington, VT/Mount Mansfield Union), and
Emily Schaub (Brewster, NY/Brewster) all found the net in the second half for 'Wick. The Hawks held a large advantage in shots in the game, 49-8. They also had the edge in corners, 15-4.
Allyson Osborne (Nottingham, PA/Solanco) made five saves in the Hawks' goal. Wells College's Allison Solomon saved 27 shots for the Express.

Notes: The Hawks reach the 10-win mark for the third straight season with the victory. The 10 goals are the most in a game for the program since the 2004 season when the Hawks scored 10 in a 10-4 win over Union. The Hawks improve to 19-0-1 all-time against the Express.
