ONEONTA, NY – Hartwick's women's swimming and diving team won 11 events on Friday as the Hawks defeated visiting Brandeis University 159-116.
Channing Lewis (Canton, OH/Canton McKinley),
Olivia Bart (Bristol, CT/Bristol Eastern), and
Gina Grauer (West Lawn, PA/Wilson) each led the Hawks with a pair of individual victories on the night.
Lewis won the 1000 free in 11:21.00 as the Hawks finished 1-2-3 with
Abby Schwartz (Olean, NY/Olean) and
Rachel Mumma (Northridge, CA/Granada Hills Charter) taking second and third, respectively. Lewis also took first in the 500 free (5:28.55).
Bart won the 50 free (24.82) and 100 free (55.36) events on the evening. Grauer was tops in the 50 breast (32.73) and 100 breast (1:10.19).
Tori Argentieri (East Amherst, NY/Clarence) and
Emma Reining (Hyde Park, NY/Franklin D. Roosevelt) finished 1-2 in the 100 fly. They flipped in the 50 fly with Reining taking first (28.32) and Argentieri placing second.
Shyanne Morris (Bumpass, VA/Louisa County) won the 1-meter dive with a point total of 135.50.
Ally Schroeder (Plantsville, CT/Southington), Grauer, Reining, and Bart combined to win the opening event, the 200 medley relay, in a time of 1:54.77. Bart, Schwartz, Grauer, and
Caroline Dennis (Ithaca, NY/Lansing) touched first in the 200 free relay in the night's final race.
Hartwick gets back to action tomorrow at Moyer Pool with a quad-meet with St. Rose, Utica, and Cobleskill. Diving begins at 9 a.m. with swimming to follow at 1 p.m.
