ONEONTA, NY – Hartwick's women's swimming and diving team won 11 events for the second day in a row on Saturday as the Hawks swept at their home quad-meet. The Hawks beat Utica 227-43, St. Rose 187-88, and Cobleskill 231-29.
For the second time in two days,
Channing Lewis (Canton, OH/Canton McKinley),
Olivia Bart (Bristol, CT/Bristol Eastern), and
Gina Grauer (West Lawn, PA/Wilson) led the Hawks with a pair of individual victories.
Lewis won the 1000 free in 11:26.40 as the Hawks finished 1-2-3 with
Abby Schwartz (Olean, NY/Olean) and
Rachel Mumma (Northridge, CA/Granada Hills Charter) taking second and third, respectively. Lewis also won the 500 free (5:31.64) with Schwartz taking second.
Bart won the 50 free in 24.91 with
Caroline Dennis (Ithaca, NY/Lansing) placing second. Bart also touched first in the 100 free in 55.52.
Grauer captured first in both breaststroke events. She won the 100 in 1:10.74 and the 200 in 2:36.42.
Tori Argentieri (East Amherst, NY/Clarence),
Emma Reining (Hyde Park, NY/Franklin D. Roosevelt), and
Cecelia Mowrey (Johnstown, NY/Johnstown) also won events for the Hawks. Argentieri was first in the 200 fly (2:21.50) with Reining placing second. Reining won the 100 fly (1:03.50) with Argentieri taking second. Mowrey would finish first in the 200 IM (2:21.57). Argentieri finished in second place.
The Hawks swept the relay events. In the 200 medley relay,
Ally Schroeder (Plantsville, CT/Southington), Grauer, Reining, and Bart were first in a time of 1:54.95. Bart, Schwartz, Grauer, and Dennis finished the 200 free relay in 1:44.70 for top honors. Lewis,
Allie Borowiak (Buffalo, NY/Nardin Academy),
Scout Easton (Evergreen, CO/Evergreen), and Schroeder took second.
Hartwick is off until next Saturday, October 27 when the Hawks host SUNY New Paltz and King's College in a tri-meet beginning at 1 p.m.
