ONEONTA, NY – Hartwick won seven events and took down visiting New Paltz 139-119 and King's 166-95 on Saturday at Moyer Pool. The Hawks are now 6-0 on the young season.
Channing Lewis (Canton, OH/Canton McKinley) and
Olivia Bart (Bristol, CT/Bristol Eastern) each had a pair of individual winning swims to pace the Hawks. Lewis won the 1000 freestyle in a time of 11:20.77.
Abby Schwartz (Olean, NY/Olean) would place second for a 1-2 finish. Lewis also finished first in the 500 free (5:36.13) with Schwartz again finishing runner-up.
Bart won the 50 free and 100 free events. She swam the 50 in 24.88 seconds and the 100 in 55.68 seconds.
Tori Argentieri (East Amherst, NY/Clarence) also secured a win in the 200 fly. She earned a time of 2:19.69.
Emma Reining (Hyde Park, NY/Franklin D. Roosevelt) placed second.
Samantha Sterck (Weston, CT/Weston) won the 1-meter diving event. She secured a score of 155.45.
Bart, Schwartz,
Gina Grauer (West Lawn, PA/Wilson), and
Caroline Dennis (Ithaca, NY/Lansing) combined for first in the 200 free relay in the day's finale. The team swam to a final time of 1:44.28.
Hartwick is back at Moyer Pool on Saturday, November 3 when it hosts Nazareth at 1 p.m.
