Recap: Host Nazareth scored four second-half goals to pull away from Hartwick men's soccer on Monday evening in Rochester. The Hawks kept the Golden Flyers out for the opening 30 minutes of action before Francesco Viavattene broke the ice at the 31:55 mark. Naz would break the game open in the second half as it scored three times in a four and a half minute span. Sam Smyth would register two of the Golden Flyer goals. Justin Pumputis added the final tally at 72:48. Jimmy Noel (Cap Haitian, Haiti/Baldwin) led Hartwick with three shots in the contest. Martins Odiaka (Asaba, Nigeria/The International Sports Academy) and Troy Amegashie (Accra, Ghana/Tema International School) had the other 'Wick shots. Aidan Wholihan (Annapolis, MD/St. Mary's Annapolis) made 10 saves in 90 minutes of work in goal for the Hawks.

John Scott Quotes: "To be down 1-0 at half time was extremely unfortunate. The first half was the best we've been defensively, and going forward we were showing Nazareth we had some players to watch out for. At half time, we really felt we could sneak our way back into this and it all looked good up until around the 60 minute mark. We lost three goals in a five minute spell, which effectively ended the game. We didn't give up though, and we kept playing and created some chances. Jimmy Noel found the back of the net for us, but it was ruled offside. The season has come to an end, but as I said the guys, only a component of the year has ended. We will continue to grow by sticking together and we will be a better team next season. This year was the first step on the road to rebuilding Hartwick men's soccer. Thanks to everyone who have shown support throughout the year. It means a lot to know there are people who are supporting us at this time."
