ONEONTA, NY – Hartwick topped local rival SUNY Oneonta by a final count of 152-136 on Saturday at Moyer Pool. The Hawks are 7-1 after their first six home meets.
Hartwick won nine events, with
Channing Lewis (Canton, OH/Canton McKinley) winning three of them.
Olivia Bart (Bristol, CT/Bristol Eastern) would also take home two individual wins. Lewis won the 1000 free in 11:13.25. She won the 200 back in 2:18.62 and secured first in the 500 free in 5:35.02.
Abby Schwartz (Olean, NY/Olean) was second in the 500 free. Bart placed first in the sprint freestyle events. She touched first in the 50 free in 25.03 seconds and the 100 free in 55.64.
Schwartz would also claim victory in the 200 free. She finished in 2:05.01.
Caroline Dennis (Ithaca, NY/Lansing) was second and
Jianna Herbert (Houston, TX/Cy Springs) was third as the Hawks went 1-2-3.
Samantha Sterck (Weston, CT/Weston) earned the top spot in 3-meter diving with a score of 149.65.
The team of
Ally Schroeder (Plantsville, CT/Southington),
Gina Grauer (West Lawn, PA/Wilson),
Emma Reining (Hyde Park, NY/Franklin D. Roosevelt), and Bart won the 200 medley relay in a time of 1:54.90. Dennis, Grauer, Schwartz, and Bart did the same in the 200 free relay. Their time was 1:43.63.
The Hawks next travel for their first away meet of the season. They swim at Bard College on Saturday, November 17 beginning at 1 p.m.
