ELMIRA, NY – Hartwick men's tennis defeated Elmira College on the road 7-2 to improve to 5-1 overall and 3-1 in the Empire 8. The Hawks are now in a tie for second place with St. John Fisher in the standings with three conference matches coming up this week.

John Talbot (Middlesex, NY/Marcus Whitman) and
Nikola Nedeljkovic (Portland, OR/Sunset) were winners in first doubles 8-3 with
Nick Adamou (New Milford, CT/New Milford) and
Jack Steinman (North Haven, CT/North Haven) combining for an identical 8-3 victory in the second flight.
Tyler Adler (Pittsford, NY/East Rochester) and
Casey Serdiouk (Margaretville, NY/Margaretville Central) won in third doubles 8-4.
Nedeljkovik took his second singles match, 6-2, 6-2, for the Hawks' fourth win. Adler rolled, 6-0, 6-3 in fifth singles for the clinching win.
Steinman won in three sets, 6-2, 6-7 (2-7), 6-3, in the fourth flight. Serdiouk was victorious, 6-3, 6-3 in the sixth spot.
Hartwick travels to Utica College on Wednesday, April 18. The Hawks host Houghton on Friday and Alfred on Saturday.
