Abby Schwartz, who had three individual wins on the day

ONEONTA, NY – Thanks in part to three individual wins apiece from Abby Schwartz (Olean, NY/Olean) and Tori Argentieri (East Amherst, NY/Clarence), the Hartwick women's swimming and diving team defeated rival SUNY Oneonta in Moyer Pool on Saturday afternoon, 177-112. The win bumps the Hawks up to 5-2 overall on the season.

Schwartz won the day's first two individual races, taking the 1000 free in 11:08.37 and then following that up with a first-place finish in the 200 free right after, touching up in 2:01.89. She came out victorious in her third freestyle event of the day later on, winning the 500 free in 5:27.01. All three of her times set new season-bests.

Argentieri won both the 100 (1:01.58) and 200 (2:15.51) fly events. She also took gold in the day's final individual race, the 400 IM, with a time of 4:52.91. She was followed in the 200 fly and 400 IM by Cecelia Mowrey (Johnstown, NY/Johnstown), who had respective second-place times of 2:20.88 and 5:01.73, respectively.

Olivia Bart (Bristol, CT/Bristol Eastern) also had two individual wins on the day, coming in first in the 50 and 100 free, as she so often does. She took the 50 free in 24.96 seconds and the 100 free in 55.85 seconds (followed by teammate Abby Miller (Oneonta, NY/Oneonta) in second at 57.52). The other Hawks' individual wins went to Channing Lewis (Canton, OH/Canton McKinley), at 2:17.06 in the 200 back, and Gina Grauer (West Lawn, PA/Wilson), at 2:31.95 in the 200 breast. Lewis was also second in the 100 back (1:05.02) and 500 free (5:34.45), while Grauer swiped silver in the 100 breast (1:09.50).

Hartwick won both of the day's relays. Lewis, Grauer, Argentieri, and Bart got the win in that order in the 400 medley relay, touching up in 4:07.53. A team of Grauer, Miller, Schwartz, and Bart was the winner in the final race of the day, the 400 free relay, with a time of 3:48.06.

The Hawks are right back in Moyer Pool next Saturday, when they host Bard for a 1 p.m. meet.
