ONEONTA, NY – The Hartwick women's lacrosse team scored the first 12 goals of the game at Wright Stadium on Wednesday afternoon, cruising to their fourth win by at least 11 goals in a row, this time over Empire 8 foe Elmira, 21 to 4. GinaMarie Wilson (East Meadow, NY/East Meadow) got it started early, scoring three of the first five goals within 11:11 of gametime, all unassisted. Amy Tracy (Smithtown, NY/Florida Southern College) had the other two, one of which relied on Rachel Hedden (Burlington, CT/Central Conn. State) for help. Hedden assisted on 'Wick's sixth tally as well, by Cassie Durkin (Fayetteville, NY/Jamesville Dewitt), and then ceded the spotlight to Hailey Pooler (Adams Center, NY/South Jefferson) who scored the first two of her seven goals within a minute of each other at 12:16 and 11:32. Hedden got in the goal column herself exactly a minute later at 10:32, followed by goals from Jennifer Darasz (Gorham, ME/Gorham), Pooler again (from Wilson), and Wilson, making it 12-0. Elmira's Stephanie Martin scored next, breaking the shutout and converting for the fifth time in four games, and Rachel Goetz converted with 12 seconds to go in the half, bringing the score to 12-2 at the break.

Elmira's Mikayla Carfello had the final two goals of the day for her squad in the last 18:12, but Pooler (twice), Wilson, Knapp, and Darasz combined for 'Wick's last five goals to send the score to where it wound up at the end of all 60 minutes.
