ITHACA, NY – The Hartwick men's swimming and diving team completed the third and final day of competition at the Ithaca Invitational on Sunday, finishing seventh out of 10 teams with 559 points.
Diallo Marshall (Saint George, Antigua & Barbuda/St. Anthony's) had the highest finish for the Hawks on the day, finishing third in the 100 free with a time of 46.62 seconds. Dawson Tupponce (Phoenix, AZ/Desert Vista) was 17th in that event, touching up in 48.33 seconds.
Devin Masongsong (Pleasant Hill, CA/College Park) was impressive in the 100 IM, placing sixth with a time of 55.43 seconds.
Brady Haraden (Ballston Spa, NY/Ballston Spa) finished ninth in the 1,650 free with a time of 16:59.76, and Nic Canney (Chandler, AZ/Corona Del Sol) was 16th, touching up in 17:23.30. Colin Leonard (Slingerlands, NY/Bethlehem) placed 14th in the 200 breast with a time of 2:15.35.
Austin Clive (Roslyn NY/Roslyn) and Haraden were 23rd and 26th in the 200 back, respectively, with times of 2:08.72 and 2:09.72.
A team of Marshall, Michael Schultz (Binghamton, NY Chenango Valley), Masongsong, and Tupponce finished sixth in the 400 free relay with a time of 3:13.84.
'Wick is off now until the new year, when they travel to Union College for a tri-meet with Union and Springfield on Saturday, January 8 at 1 p.m.
