ONEONTA, NY - The Hartwick Men's Swimming and Diving team defeated Alfred University by a score of 171-105 this afternoon in Moyer Pool. Hartwick improves to a perfect 8-0, whilst Alfred falls to 3-5 on the season. 

The meet started out strong with a win in the 200 medley relay consisting of Michael Schultz, Colin Leonard Dawson Tupponce, and Diallo Marshall.  In the 1000 freestyle, Nic Canney won, followed by Brady Haraden. Tupponce won the 200 freestyle, with Reid Sinkinson placing second. Leonard came in second in the 100 breaststroke. Schultz, Tupponce, and Canney came in 1-2-3 respectively in the 200 butterfly. Marshall took gold in the 50 free, followed by Sinkinson. 

In the second half of the meet, Marshall and Sinkinson started off strong with a 1-2 in the 100 freestyle. Leonard came in second in the 200 breaststroke. Canny won the 500 freestyle and Haraden came in second. Schultz won the 100 butterfly. Jack Armstrong came in first place for both 1 and 3 meter diving. Schultz swept the 200 IM. Lastly, in an electric race that came down to the final leg, the 200 freestyle relay consisting of Evan Nezat, Tupponce, Sinkinson, and Marshall took home first.

The Hawks are back at it in two weeks when they host Stevens in the Moyer Pool beginning at 1PM.
