ONEONTA, N.Y. – The Hartwick Hawks Men's Swimming and Diving Team beat all three teams that they faced at their home quad meet on Saturday.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
- Hartwick got their meet started with the diving competition at 9 AM. Jack Armstrong (Windham, N.H.) posted a score of 230.65 in the 1-meter. Teammate Keith Ruiz (San Antonio, Tex.) posted a 162.85.
- As the only competitors in the 3-meter competition, Armstrong and Ruiz posted scores of 204.5 and 155.80 respectively.
- The Hawks took 2nd and 3rd in the 200-yard medley relay to get on the board in their first event of the swim competition.
- A 1st, 2nd, and 4th place finish in the 1000-yard freestyle from Nick Canney (Chandler, Ariz.), Brady Haraden (Ballston Spa, N.Y.), and Lane Rawls (Baldwinsville, N.Y.) gave Hartwick even more momentum.
- The host squad took 1st through 3rd places in three events, the 200-yard free, the 100-yard backstroke, and the 200-yard breaststroke.
- Mikey Schultz (Binghamton, N.Y.) went 3 for 3 in his individual events, winning at the 200-yard butterfly, the 100-yard butterfly, and the 200-yard IM.
- In addition to the Hawks, participating teams included: Utica University, The College of St. Rose, and SUNY Delhi.

The Hawks will have a weekend off before traveling to Nazareth on Saturday, November 5 for a 1 PM dual meet.
