ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Hartwick Hawks Women's Swimming and Diving team dropped their first Empire 8 meet of the season, falling to Nazareth in the dual meet on Saturday afternoon.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
- Courtney Pierce (Fulton, N.Y.) led the way in individual events, finishing first in the 200-meter IM.
- Pierce was also part of the 200-meter medley relay that finished second with a time of 2:16.26. Bree Dy (Matawan, N.J.) swam the first leg of the race, Pierce went second, and Meghan Geczy (Queensbury, N.Y.) and Ellie Baird (Wilton, N.Y.) swam the third and fourth legs respectively.
- Baird also finished second for the Hawks in the 200-meter freestyle.
- The quartet of Dy, Geczy, Baird, and Joelle Ocheltree (Libertyville, Ill.) finished first in the 400-meter freestyle relay.
- Ocheltree also contributed two second place finishes in the 400-meter freestyle and the 800-meter freestyle.

The Hawks return to their home pool on Saturday, November 12 as they host cross-town rival, Oneonta State at 1 PM.
