Oneonta, NY – The Hawks finally got their home season underway on one of the first nice spring days on Oyaron Hill. The Hawks seized the day and dominated for 40 minutes. A 13-6 win for the Hawks on their home turf moved them to 3-1 and dropped Kings to 0-5.
Kristen Vaccarelli started the scoring for the Hawks, a dodge down the alley past her defender which led to a 1 on 1 battle with the King's goalie which she won.
Claudia Pollaro followed right behind her with her first goal of the day off a pass from
Gabrielle Stringer. Katrina Marten followed soon after with a goal of her own coming off a dodge past her defender that found the back of the net. With 5 minutes left in the first

Katrina Marten from behind the net. The Hawks pulled away to a 6 goal lead when
Vaccarelli found the twine off a bounce shot that stung the top right corner for a 7-1 score.
Vaccarelli showed she could do it all when she won the draw control and dimed up
Emily Schaub on the backside for an 8-1 lead.

Schaub. Kings answered
Vaccarelli's domination with a goal from Carli Komorrowski with 9:38 to play. It was
Pollaro from
Stringer who made the game 12-5 with 5 minutes to play and the game seemed to be in favor of the Hawks, but a King's goal two minutes later brought the game to 12-6.
