ROCHESTER, NY – The Women's Lacrosse team was on the road at the conference's top ranked St. John Fisher College and were unable to give the Cardinals their first conference blemish on the season. St. John Fisher took the game 21-4 as they improved to 7-7 (5-0) while Hartwick fell to 5-6 (2-3).
Hartwick scored a goal in each of the 4 quarters, with 4 different Hawks getting a tally.
Kristen Vaccarelli netted one in the first, Katrina Martin in the second,
Ellie Masterpole in the third, and
Hanna Goodreau in the fourth.
Emily Madigan recorded Hartwick's only assist which came in the 4
th.
Samantha Miller recorded 6 saves in the loss.
With one game to go in the conference schedule, the Hawks are tied with Sage College at 2-3 in conference play. The two teams meet in the regular season finale on April 30
th, with the 4
th and final spot in the Empire 8 conference tournament up for grabs. That important showdown will take place at Hartwick beginning at 1pm. Prior to that, the Hawks will host SUNY Canton in a non-conference game on Wednesday at 5PM.
