Hawks Shut Out Delhi 3-0 in Road Victory

DELHI, N.Y. – Hartwick's offensive pressure was the difference maker as they defeated the SUNY Delhi Broncos 3-0 on the road on Wednesday night.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
 
  • The Hawks came out hot in the first half, getting off nine shots and putting four on goal.
  • Hartwick converted on two of those four attempts with Jim Mahony (Bournemouth, England) scoring in the 16th minute of play.  Kwame Amissa-Arthur (Waterbury, Conn.) picked up the assist on the goal.
  • Jake Zona (Liverpool, N.Y.) gave the Hawks a two-goal advantage in the 37th minute.
  • The visiting squad continued to add pressure to the Broncos offensively, doubling up their shots and shots on goal from the first half.
  • While the Hawks kept getting good looks, they weren't able to break through to score their third tally until the 84th minute of play.
  • Timmy McQueeney (Wading River, N.Y.) put away his first of the season to put the exclamation point on the victory.  Zona notched the assist.
  • Aden Razukiewicz (Warwick, N.Y.) picked up his first collegiate victory, saving both shot attempts to secure the shut out for the Hawks.

The Hawks will look to carry this momentum into Saturday when they kick off at 4 PM against the Houghton University Highlanders in Empire 8 action at home.
