SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. – The Hawks battled throughout the match, but ultimately fell on the road at Mt. Holyoke in their final non-conference test before opening Empire 8 play.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
- Phoebe Olson (Jamestown, N.Dak.) and Jess Waldmann (South Glens Falls, N.Y.) picked up an 8-4 win at 2nd doubles to keep the Hawks within striking distance of Mt. Holyoke.
- Gianna Leggieri (Ballston Lake, N.Y.) picked up a straight set (6-2, 6-1) win at 5th singles to give Hartwick two wins on the day.
- Unfortunately, despite two tightly contested matches at 4th and 6th singles by Maggie Van Valkenburgh (Highland, N.Y.) and Olivia McArthur (Whitesboro, N.Y.) respectively, the Hawks would only pick those two wins, falling 7-2.
