ONEONTA, N.Y. - The Hartwick Men's Swim and Dive Team posted a strong showing against the SUNY Delhi Broncos in their final home dual meet of the season.

The Hawks began their afternoon with the 200 medley relay with three relay groups representing the Royal Blue and White in a tight race. The grouping of Sebastian Gomez (Mineola, N.Y.), Sebastian Knowles (Plano, TX), Bryce Rogers (Fulton, N.Y.), and Lane Rawls (Baldwinsville, N.Y.) were first to touch the wall, clocking in at one minute and forty three seconds, edging out their Hawk counterparts by one second.

Evan Nezat (Jacksonville, N.C.) took the 500 yard freestyle, posting a time of five minutes and 28 seconds.

The 200 yard freestyle followed and Cameron Drake (El Cajon, Cal.) was able to beat out Rawls by two seconds for the victory, finishing with a mark of one minute and 56 seconds.

Gomez picked up his first individual event of the afternoon, posting a finishing mark of 26.91 seconds in the 50 yard backstroke. Sebastian followed up with a victory in the 100 yard backstroke as well, touching the wall at 58.84 seconds.

Knowles and Nezat were neck and neck as they blistered their way through the pool in the 50 yard breaststroke with Knowles taking the crown by just .16 seconds.

Rogers collected an event of his own, clocking in at 53.14 seconds in the 100 yard butterfly.

After a brief intermission, Peyton Humphries (South Glens Falls, N.Y.) completed the one meter diving event with a final score of 181.15 as the lone diver of the afternoon. Humphries returned and scored 201.75 in the three meter diving event.

Drake posted another victory, this time in the 100 yard freestyle with a finishing mark of 53.59 seconds.

Knowles capped off his great day with a one minute and four second finish in the 100 yard breaststroke.

Hassan Abdelwahed (New Hartford, N.Y.) was first to complete the 400 IM, timing in at four minutes and thirty four seconds.

The men capped off their dominant day with Topher Fitzpatrick (Massapequa, N.Y.) , Tyler LaDue (Fulton, N.Y.), Rogers, and James finishing the 200 yard freestyle relay in one minute and thirty six seconds.

The Hawks will get some time off before returning to action at the Union Tri-Meet on January 11th at 1PM, hosted by Union College.
