 WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

  • The four seeded Hawks dealt with foul trouble early, conceding four goals with two coming in man-up situations in the first five minutes of the first quarter.

  • Following a Hartwick timeout, the team got on the scoreboard as Katrina Marten (Middlesex, N.Y.) spotted a cutting Emily Madigan (Syracuse, N.Y.) who received it in space and scored with a rip to the upper left corner.

  • Hartwick let up two goals before Marten picked up her second assist, dishing it off to Kristen Vaccarelli (Dix Hills, N.Y.) who was able to sneak one past the keeper through contact with one minute remaining.

  • The second quarter opened with the Cardinals scoring three goals before a Hawk timeout with 8:09 on the clock, as the team trailed 9-2.

  • With the second half underway, the Hawks continued to struggle, conceding five goals in the third quarter.

  • St. John Fisher would go onto score four goals in the fourth quarter as Hartwick's season unfortunately came to a close, falling in the Empire 8 semifinal to the #1 seed.
