ONEONTA, N.Y. - The Hartwick Men's Swim and Dive Team hosted the Alfred State Pioneers and the St. Lawrence Saints for their final home double dual meet, coming away with two decisive victories on Senior Day.

Before the start of the meet, the Swim and Dive program recognized their five seniors, Daniel Chung (Roslyn, NY), Sebastian Knowles (Plano, TX), and Evan Nezat (Jacksonville, N.C., Peyton Humphries (South Glens Falls, N.Y.) and Tyler LaDue (Fulton, N.Y.)

The Hawks opened their afternoon with a first place finish in the 200 yard medley relay. Hassan Abdelwahed (New Hartford, N.Y.), Bryce Rogers (Fulton, N.Y.), Nezat and Knowles combined for a final mark of one minute and 38 seconds.

Cameron Drake (El Cajon, Cal.) blazed through the 1000 yard freestyle, touching the wall with a time of ten minutes and three seconds.

Drake carried his momentum into the ensuing freestyle, taking the 200 free event by .17 seconds, edging out fellow Hawk Abdelwahed.

The Hawks kept soaring as Owen James (St. Lutz, Fla.) placed first in the 100 backstroke, clocking in at 57.07 seconds.

Nezat picked up his first individual event of the day, posting a final time of 1:00.95 in the 100 yard breaststroke.

Bryce Rogers (Fulton, N.Y.) kept the momentum on the Hawks' side, being first to touch the wall in the 200 butterfly, timing in at two minutes and three seconds.

Abdelwahed collected his first individual event, winning the 50 yard freestyle with a time of 22.11 seconds.

Humphries scored 219.20 in one meter diving, capping off with a score of 201.80 in three meter diving.

Rogers picked up his second win in a tight 100 yard freestyle, coming down to the end as Bryce was able to clock in .37 seconds ahead of a Pioneer swimmer.

Nezat placed first in the 200 breaststroke, timing in at two minutes and 19 seconds to continue his strong day.

Drake capped off his day with another freestyle victory, going three for three on the day with a four minute and forty five second finish in the 500 freestyle.

Rogers also collected his third victory, clocking in at 53 seconds in the 100 yard fly.

Abdelwahed took the last event in favor of Hartwick, placing first in the 200 IM with a time of two minutes and seven seconds.

The Hawks capped off their stellar senior day with a 200 free relay victory, Nezat, Knowles, Drake and Karim Mohamed (New Hartford, N.Y.) combined for a time of one minute and 31 seconds.

Hartwick defeated Alfred State 203-85, and picked up the victory of St.Lawrence 222-47.Â

Divers will head to Ithaca College for the annual Dick Comanzo Diving Invitational, set for Sunday, January 26th at 9AM.
