The Hawks swept doubles play before rolling through singles, highlighted by wins from Samantha Lantzy, Phoebe Olson, and Maddi Morrison. With the victory, 'Wick locks up the No.1 seed in the 2025 Empire 8 Tournament and captures its fourth consecutive regular-season title.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Hartwick Women's Tennis team capped off their regular season in dominant fashion, taking down St. John Fisher 6–1 in their regular-season finale on Saturday. With the win, the Hawks completed their fourth consecutive unbeaten conference campaign, extending a remarkable run of Empire 8 dominance.
After a tough non-conference battle with regional powerhouse RIT, the Hawks wasted no time bouncing back against the Cardinals. Hartwick set the tone early in doubles play, with top-flight tandem Phoebe Olson (Jamestown, N.Dak.) and Gianna Leggieri (Ballston Lake, N.Y.) cruising to a 6–2 victory. Maddi Morrison (Burnt Hills, N.Y.) and Maggie Van Valkenburgh (Highland, N.Y.) followed with a commanding 6–0 sweep to secure the doubles point, while Lily Vanuga (Springville, N.Y.) and Samantha Lantzy (Valatie, N.Y.) added a 6–1 win at No.2 to complete the doubles sweep.
In singles play, the Hawks maintained control from start to finish despite dropping one match at No.3. Lantzy got Hartwick rolling again at the top flight, earning a straight-set win to regain the lead. Olson kept the momentum alive with a 6–2, 6–1 triumph at No.2, and Van Valkenburgh followed with a 6–2, 6–2 victory at No.4. Morrison clinched the match for the Blue and White with a decisive 6–1, 6–0 win at No.6 before Leggieri closed out the day with a 6–1, 6–3 victory at No.5.
With the victory, Hartwick locks up the No.1 seed in the upcoming 2025 Empire 8 Women's Tennis Tournament and claims its fourth straight regular-season conference title.
